PROJECT SNAPSHOT
THE CHALLENGE
The main challenge was creating a website that felt both professional and personal.
Annika needed a digital presence that could showcase her performance work clearly without feeling generic or overly formal. The site needed to highlight her experience, headshots, resume, media, while placing a strong emphasis on her contact page. It also needed to give visitors a sense of her personality and creative identity.
DISCOVERY & RESEARCH
-
I created a structured questionnaire to understand Annika’s goals, personality, visual preferences, content priorities, and concerns about the existing site.
-
The site needed to serve several audiences, including casting teams, directors, creative collaborators, and people discovering her work. I organized the experience around the information each group would be most likely to seek.
-
I reviewed websites from other performers and creatives to understand common conventions, identify effective presentation patterns, and find opportunities for Annika’s site to feel more distinctive.
-
The research was translated into mood boards, color palette ideas, typography, and visual demos that Annika could review before the full site was developed.
DESIGN EXPLORATION
Feedback was built into the process from the beginning. After reviewing initial concepts, Annika identified the elements that felt most authentic to her. I translated that feedback into revised layouts, refined visual details, and a final site that reflected both her professional goals and personal preferences.

WHAT I CREATED
The redesign introduced a clearer visual hierarchy, stronger use of imagery, more intentional typography, and a page structure built around Annika’s most important professional content.
The new experience feels more polished while remaining expressive and approachable.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
This project reinforced that a successful personal-brand website has to do more than look polished. It has to feel recognizable to the person it represents. By beginning with discovery, presenting multiple directions, and incorporating client feedback throughout the process, I was able to create a site that balanced professional clarity with Annika’s individual voice.
